Hot Rod Power Tour

It is going to be a monumental occasion you don’t want to miss when the Hot Rod Power Tour rolls into Bowling Green this summer! For the first time in Power Tour history, this stop will be at a regional airport where the colorful sea of hot rods meets blue skies. The Bowling Green/ Warren County Regional Airport has experienced staff to take this Power Tour stop to new heights. With hot rods covering the ground, the folks in Bowling Green are covering the air with various aircraft on static display. Other lofty ventures include a hot air balloon on site for possible photo opportunities and an EAA Ford Tri-Motor plane, one of the oldest passenger planes in the nation, with purchased rides available. Participate in games and activities throughout the day and take in a little hometown flavor from local vendors. Check out some rather noteworthy cars including the General Lee and chat with Ben "Cooter" Jones and other visiting car crazies. Feel the hospitality from community mascots and get lucky in Kentucky with giveaways including gift certificates and passes to area restaurants, shops, and attractions. Tuesday night, cruise downtown by a newly restored 1921 Standard Oil Station then pass the Bowling Green Hot Rods stadium before heading out to Beech Bend Raceway for some drag and oval fun racing. Some of hot rodding’s finest have burned rubber on this asphalt. Of course, no trip to 'Vette City would be complete without a visit to the 115,000 square foot National Corvette Museum, so they are extending their hours just for Power Tour participants. Full of history, interactive exhibits, and 80 Corvettes on display, the day will end with visions of chassis dancing in your head. PHOTO SHOOT INFO
I have a friend who is a professional photographer, her name is Miss Ernie Passwaters, she comes to the cruise in occasionally and she is looking for a 1970 Cadillac Convertible for a particular photo shoot. If your car or someone you know fits the bill you can call her at 615-477-2605 and tell her Dave Ferguson from the Cruise In told you about the photo opportunity.

Thanks
